About Rodda Social Work and Counselling
Compassionate Practice. Professional Experience. Meaningful Connections.
Rodda Social Work and Counselling was established by Jeffery Allan Rodda (known professionally as Allan), an experienced social worker with a background spanning mental health, residential aged care, community services, therapeutic support and program management.
Throughout his career, Allan has worked alongside individuals, families, healthcare professionals and community organisations, supporting people experiencing emotional distress, grief, significant life transitions and complex psychosocial challenges.
His professional experience includes delivering therapeutic interventions, coordinating multidisciplinary services, supporting and supervising practitioners and university placement students, and leading the development and delivery of mental health and psychosocial support programs.
Allan brings a compassionate, person-centred and strengths-based approach to his work, recognising the importance of dignity, autonomy, meaningful relationships and individual choice.
Through Rodda Social Work and Counselling, Allan aims to provide accessible, ethical and professional support to individuals and organisations, with a particular interest in adult mental health, older persons' wellbeing, professional supervision and service development.
At Rodda Social Work and Counselling, we believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect, regardless of their circumstances, background or life experiences.
Our practice is founded on the principles of social justice, human rights, self-determination and the belief that meaningful change is possible when individuals feel heard, understood and supported.
We recognise that wellbeing is influenced by the relationships, environments and communities in which people live. Our approach considers the whole person, acknowledging individual strengths, lived experiences and the social factors that shape their circumstances.
